Digitally Printed Braille Fonts
BRAILLEJET™, a new high quality printing system for Braille, the touchable font for blind people - offers an innovative and accurate solution for the personalization and encoding needs of the packaging industry and pharmaceutical market. Revolutionary new micro valve technology, based on micro valves, enables Braille fonts to be printed using UV curable high-viscosity ink to achieve immediate fixation of the dots. The result is optimum readability and exceptional dot clarity.
BRAILLEJET™ offers the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of digital printing – with the advantage to easily print variable data. The expensive setup costs associated with silk-screen printing or embossing are totally eliminated. BRAILLEJET™ makes it easy to switch from one job to another. One print head prints two Braille lines simultaneously – the print width can be increased by seamless stitching of additional heads.

Package Marking
Trident-Powered systems reliably and cost effectively mark on coated packaging for food, auto parts, hardware, chemicals and other packaged goods.
Trident printheads employ unique, patented Subpulsing and Chemical Capping techniques. Gone is the need for elaborate recirculating ink systems or wasteful ink spitting. And, these printheads are repairable, minimizing running costs.
Current alternatives to piezoelectric ink jet technology are either too expensive or require excessive maintenance and upkeep due to elaborate printhead designs.
Alternatives to Trident technology also involve the high cost of labels, ink and non-repairable printheads. Many of the alternative inks are also hazardous or limit flexibility by enabling printing of fixed images only.
Trident's industrial inkjet technology is featured in a number of OEM's high resolution ink-jet coding and marking machines around the world. Trident is the leader in high resolution industrial inkjet printheads with servicable parts that prolong the useful life of the printers. Please contact Trident for the licensed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplier of Trident-based systems in your area.

InkJet printing in industrial environments involves many challenges, from harsh conditions to complex marking requirements. As a result, no single inkjet technology serves all applications well. Matthews offers Drop-On-Demand® InkJet, Continuous InkJet, and High Resolution InkJet in order to provide excellent marking performance for a wide range of applications.
Drop-on-Demand® printing is a rugged inkjet technology that can utilize a wide variety of inks (and therefore can mark many different substrates). DOD Printers provide incredible flexibility, making medium to high resolution marks over marking areas that can range from very small to very large.
Continuous InkJet Printers excel at making small, well-defined marks even at very high speeds. The range of available inks is somewhat less than is available for Drop-On-Demand®, but if an ink is available the print quality is high.
Matthews High Resolution Inkjet Printers provide optimum print resolution, high speed, and large or small mark sizes. These printers work very well for printing very crisp bar codes, graphics, and text onto primary and secondary packaging (often used in place of labels).
