A valve is a device used to stop or change the flow of a liquid, gaseous or multiphasic fluid, or a slurry in an open or closed system. Two-way valves have two ports.
These valves are found in electronics, medicine, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications, among others.
Such devices use two different systems of operation. Rotary valves include ball, globe and butterfly valves. Linear types include diaphragm and piston valves.
A two-way valve should be suitable for the system into which it will be integrated in terms of pressure, flow and material.
