Ogura’s multiple disk clutches and brakes come in both a dry or “wet” type. The wet (in oil) type can run approximately 3 times faster than that dry type. This is because the oil helps dissipate heat generated at higher RPMs, but you may find it surprising that the wet type can also produce higher operating torque, both statically and dynamically.
Ogura products are manufactured in Europe, North and South America and Asia. Manufacturing plants are ISO9001, 14001 and TS16949 compliant. Clutches and brakes are RoHS compliant.

| Posidyne® clutch/brakes transmit torque by shearing automatic transmission fluid between multiple friction discs. The fluid absorbs the heat of engagement and dissipates it through the housing. The recirculating fluid minimizes wear, resulting in exceptionally long service life.
