The D.L. Ricci Corp. "3 axis" Portable Milling Machines are our most versatile and accurate milling machine tool, capable of traveling and machining in all axis (XYZ). They are ideal for onsite machining large and small rectangular areas accurately. These Portable Mills can be clamped or bolted directly onto the part being machined or fabricated. Setup jigs and parallel-mounting fixtures can be used to position the portable mills for difficult work area conditions. Any machinist familiar with machining practices will find the Portable Milling Machines simple to setup and operate, even upside down.
These milling machine tools are designed for rugged onsite machining such as milling, drilling and boring applications on jobs that were previously thought to be impossible without extensive disassembly. The precision ground dovetails with adjustable gibs, to provide smooth, accurate travel in all axis.
When used as a facing mill, this milling machine tool will do a quick job of facing off pitted or misaligned surfaces, restoring the original condition of the part being machined. Servo power feeds are available for all axis, allowing the application of smooth and consistent power feed throughout the speed range, both in forward and reverse. |

Recently, the use of aluminium profi les, very popular with the building industry, have become more common for industrial purposes in replacement of other materials.
The transportation, roads, railways, lighting and furniture manufacturing
fields are certainly the more usual users of profi les.
Every week Tekna receives and develops studies for the feasibility and machining times of special parts obtained from extrudates of aluminium, PVC, steel and ABS.
For many of these particulars it is necessary to study and develop special clamping systems, complex tools, differentiated lubrications, software, macro and a lot more.
In some cases, another important element is the “handling”.
Tekna is particularly trained with the solution of these problems.
