Differential pressure measurement is a crucial parameter for determining pollutant pathways for IAQ and worker exposure applications. It is also a key HVAC parameter in commercial and institutional buildings and in manufacturing plants, among many other important applications.
Each Zephyr II instrument includes a built-in, auto-zeroing, micro-manometer and 'K'-type thermocouple input for measuring differential pressure, static pressure and temperature. The auto-zeroing feature allows for highly accurate differential pressure logging over time. With a pitot tube, the Zephyr provides direct air velocity readings. Zephyrs can also be fitted with a telescoping 3-function probe (model 2300 AHTS) to measure humidity, temperature and (hotwire) airspeed.
The Zephyr II range has been designed with the user in mind. The large rubber grip and simple membrane switch pad ensure the unit is comfortable to use allowing pushbutton operation even with gloves on. The 2300 AHTS probe attaches to the side of the instrument for single-handed operation.
The display and menu system provide step-by-step guides for each operation. This ensures minimal user training is required. Data capture is included as standard to allow duct traversing. Volumetric flow is calculated by simply entering the size of the duct and the instrument performs the necessary calculation.
The Zephyr II is a stand-alone instrument. However, with all of it's available parameters, it may be interfaced to any GrayWolf WolfSense PPC or LAP mobile PC based system via a CF serial card (model ACC-SCDPC); opening the door to the full extent of GrayWolf's DirectSense product features.

Differential Stainless Steel pressure gauge
Differential pressures are commonly used in industrial process systems. Differential pressure gauges have two inlet ports, each connected to one of the volumes whose pressure is to be monitored. In effect, such a gauge performs the mathematical operation of subtraction through mechanical means, obviating the need for an operator or control system to watch two separate gauges and determine the difference in readings.

Miniature Differential Pressure Gauges
These miniature differential pressure gauges measure the pressure difference between two points. Acting in the place of two pressure gauges, these units allow for one simple reading on an easy-to-read scale. Popular in filtration, flow and level applications, they are a low cost alternative to bourdon tube and bellows designs. Both piston and diaphragm sensor models are available as in our standard size instruments. Their small size and low cost make them ideal for OEM use.
We offer them with bodies (and wetted parts) of aluminum. The indicator models come standard with a 1" molded plastic lens while a 2" dial is available as an option. A variety of porting options allow for any mounting configuration.
A red/green dial with a breakpoint located at 70% of full scale alerts the user of the condition of the process. This matches the setpoint of the reed switch if ordered together.
Note: Our piston sensor models are best for liquid applications as they have a slight amount of fluid migration from the high to low pressure ports. Select our diaphragm models for air or gas applications or where fluid migration cannot be tolerated.
