A manual stacker is used in a warehouse environment to transport and manipulate pallets to and from storage racks. Raising the forks and moving the stacker are manual operations. Rear-wheel steering is controlled by the tiller arm. Very compact, the manual model is the least expensive of all stackers.
These stackers offer limited stacking height and maximum load capacity.
The forks, situated at the front of the stacker and attached to the mast, are raised by a hand and/or foot pump. Once the pallet is off the ground, the stacker is manually controlled by a tiller arm, which may be attached to the rear wheels for steering. The support legs holding the front wheels can be either at normal spacing or straddle position to facilitate pallet stacking.
Stacking height, load weight and available budget are factors to be taken into account when choosing a manual stacker.
