The PLC series auxiliary valves are direct-acting, factory-set pressure relief valves of the cartridge type that can be supplied with or without a threaded plug. They can also be supplied with housings to facilitate in-line installation. PLC valves are intended primarily to act as combined pressure-relief and anti-cavitation valves - otherwise known as port relief valves - in the service ports of our directional valves. However, they can also be used to advantage in other situations where pressure relief valves in this size range are required. Indeed, PLC cartridge valves are purchased in great quantities by several of the world%u2019s leading pump and transmission manufacturers.

Pressure Relief Valve type LV / LNV
The safe and economic solution to protect your pump and plant against over-pressure.
Function:
The pneumatic Pinch Valve will be pressurized through the pressure relief section by a minimum differential pressure of 2 bar air supply over medium pressure. When the medium pressure in the pipeline increases, the Pinch Valve start to open and the overpressure passes trough the bypass and the Pinch Valve.
The rising and falling pressures can be controlled over pressure switches.
Type LV (if control air is available) and Type LNV (if control air is not available) are especially designed to handle products with solids, paste and fibers.

Pilot Operated Relief Valve
In the mid-1940s, a new relief valve actuated with a pilot rather than a spring set a new standard for pressure control. The valve, manufactured over the years by companies like Garrett, USI, Axelson, and NUFLO, is now manufactured and sold by Cameron's Measurement Systems division. The NuFlo pilot-operated pressure relief valve is an example of a tradition of advanced design and high-quality manufacturing abilities. These valves offer advantages not found in other relief valves - spring or pilot operated.
TYPE HF
This is a full lift, pop-action valve with a fixed (5% to 7%) blowdown using a single non-flowing pilot. This type of valve is designed for gas and/or vapor service and is offered in sizes of 1" through 8" with operating pressures ranging from 20 psig to 6000 psig.
Type HL
This is a modulating valve with a fixed (3% to 5%) blowdown using a single non-flowing pilot. This valve is designed for gas, vapor and/or liquid service and is offered in sizes of 1" through 8" with operating pressures ranging from 15 psig to 1500 psig.

Rupture discs and Safety valves may be used independently as primary safety devices or in conjunction.
Possible combinations are:
Disc and PSV in parallel: the disc is a second safety device in order to increase equipment safety (usually the rupture pressure of the disc is slightly above the setting of the valve). Typical application: liquefied gas tanks
Disc downstream a PSV in order to protect the PSV from corrosive chemicals present in the vent duct
Disc upstream a PSV: this solution allows combining the positive aspects of both devices: tightness of the disc and re-closure of the valve. In addition the discs protects the valve from corrosive or scaling process fluids, reducing the maintenance required by the more expensive and sensitive device. Main advantages are:
Protection of the valve from aggressive or scaling fluids
Avoid leakage due to valve scaling or corrosion (very important for dangerous fluids)
Reduce maintenance (cleaning, calibration)
Reduce the cost of the valve by using less expensive materials
Test the correct performance of the valve without plant shut-down and valve dismounting
The rupture pressure of the discs is the same of the setting of the valve; build up of pressure in the space between the disc and the valve must be monitored and avoided

Pressure Relief Valves
* Fine pressure adjustment
* CNC precision machined parts
* Cost effective and reliable
* Variety of materials available
* Right-angle, 3-port design
Sigmamotor pressure relief valves operate when the system pressure raises above the set pressure of the valve to protect systems from damage due to blockages or excessive pressure situations.
Inside the valve a spring holds a diaphragm against the valve seat until preset pressure is exceeded, then the diaphragm is forced up and the material in the system is forced out of the relief port. The valve is set at 65psi at the factory but is easily field adjustable.

Managers of vehicle service centers can now turn to our new thermal pressure relief device to protect against possible damage to their closed pipe systems caused by thermal expansion. For example, as oil warms, it expands and causes pressuresometimes oil that was 300 psi becomes 2,000 to 3,000 psi. Such pressure spikes can cause costly damage if they exceed the design capacity of pipes and system components. Our pressure relief valve returns fluid/material back to the tank, limiting the pressure to protect the system.

Reliable Pressure Relief:
Hayward Pressure Relief Valves protect piping system components from damage due to over pressurization. The valves work by sensing system pressure. When the system pressure exceeds the set pressure, the force of the excess pressure moves the valve piston off its seat to relieve the excess pressure and diverts some of the flow out the discharge port.
Easy to Set Pressure:
Hayward Pressure Relief Valves can be set by hand, no tools are needed, to relieve pressures from 5 to 75 PSI. Each size of relief valve is designed to cover this complete pressure range with just one, non-wetted, plastic coated spring. There is no need to change springs for different pressure ranges as with ordinary relief valves.
Molded Gauge Port:
An integrally molded 1/4" NPT gauge port on the valve body makes installation of a gauge to monitor the relief pressure easy. No drilling or extra fittings are needed.
No Corrosion Failure:
These all plastic relief valves have no metal parts and will never fail, jam or stick because of rusted or corroded components. They require no painting or epoxy coatings to survive corrosive environments.
