The Revolutionary Watt-Flex®
Split-Sheath Cartridge Heater
* Maximizes Heat Transfer
* Reduces Maintenance Costs
* Reduces the Cost of Process Heating
Watt-Flex Cartridge Heaters run more efficiently, use less power and last up to 5 times longer than conventional cartridge heaters.

Higher Watt Density and Temperatures
Watt Flex heaters produce up to 50% higher warrantable watt-densities than conventional heaters and can operate at much higher temperatures - up to
1900 degF (1030 degC).
The Watt-Flex Cartridge Heater is a high-quality tubular heating element bent back on itself and swaged into a cylindrical format. Dalton manufactures heaters using only high-purity magnesium oxide, nickel chromium resistance wire and stainless steel terminals.
Special filling methods and equipment compact the magnesium oxide inside and around the resistor coil to extreme density. Swaging further compacts the magnesium oxide to virtually maximum density, which yields high dielectric strength and efficient internal heat conduction. Unlike conventional heaters, Watt-Flex cartridge heaters have no ceramic core that can crack during swaging.
The continuous coil and tightly compacted MgO assure highest watt-density and higher operating temperatures.
Watt-Flex Cartridge Heaters run more efficiently, use less power, last longer and are much simpler and faster to replace than conventional cartridge heaters.
|
|
Watt-Flex Replaceable Immersion Heaters
Heating an acidic or caustic solution in an immersion application can be a difficult and often dangerous procedure. Dalton’s Watt-Flex replaceable immersion system eliminates the complication of changing the heater and draining the tank.
Dalton Electric’s Watt-Flex cartridge heater and immersion well system use a sheath with a welded endcap and NPT fitting that screw into the side of the tank. The sheath becomes a permanent part of the equipment. The cartridge heater is then inserted into this well and held in place with a flange. It can be removed and replaced with ease.

Ceramic fiber heaters intergrate a high temperature iron-chrome-aluminum (ICA) heating element wire with ceramic fiber insulation. Numerous stock, standard and/or custom shapes can be provided, achieving the "heated insulation" concept for your high temperature, non-contact applications. The ceramic fiber insulation isolates the high temperatures inside the heated chamber from the outside. The heaters are low mass, fast heating, with high insulation values and self-supported heating elements that offer some of the highest temperature heating capabilities within the Watlow family of heater designs.
Applications
High temperature furnaces
Metal melting, holding and transfer
Semiconductor processing
Glass, ceramic and wire processing
Analytical instrumentation

Flexible Thermofoil™ Solutions for Heating
Thermofoil™ heaters are thin, flexible heating elements consisting of an etched foil resistive element laminated between layers of flexible insulation. Since their introduction by Minco over 45 years ago, Flexible Thermofoil™ heaters have demonstrated significant advantages over conventional electric heaters.
Precise Heating
Thermofoil™ heaters put heat where you need it. You simply apply them to the surface of the part to be heated. Their thin and Flexible profile gives close thermal coupling between the heater and heat sink. You can even specify profiled heat patterns with higher watt densities in areas where heat loss is greater.
Faster Warmup and Longer Life
The flat foil element of Flexible Thermofoil™ heaters transfers heat more efficiently, over a larger surface area, than round wire. Thermofoil™ heaters, therefore, develop less thermal gradient between the resistive element and heat sink. Heaters stay cooler. The result is higher allowable watt densities, faster warmup, and prolonged insulation life. Thermofoil™ heaters can safely run at wattages twice those of their wire-wound equivalents. Insulation life may be ten times greater. For high levels of reliable heat, the obvious choice is Flexible Thermofoil.

Multifunctional use, uniform heating:
Contact heating of flat surfaces. We manufacture flat heating elements in several materials customised to your application.
SILICONE heater mats consist of heating wire or an etched heating foil, which is encapsulated and insulated between two silicone mats strengthened by textile glass fibers. They are suitable especially for applications requiring precise temperature and homogeneous heat distribution. Due to their low thermal mass they distinguish by quick response and an excellent controllability. Their low mass and small construction height make them interesting for many aerospace applications. Their resistance against moisture and humidity (IP 54 and higher) recommends them for laboratory equipment, catering appliances and frost or condensation protection especially of electronic components. The only restriction of this versatile heater: its max. continuous operating temperature of 200° C (up to 230° C for short periods).
Fitting for your application, silicone heater mats can be build in nearly every dimension and geometry with numerous extra-components, e. g. thermocouples, limiters and thermal fuses.
Especially for larger quantities we recommend to use heating mats with etched heating foil. In regard to forms, dimensions and complexity of heat distribution they are as variable as heaters with heating wire. Through shorter distances and larger surface of etched strip conductors they reach an even higher watt density and a more homogeneous heat distribution.

Alper S.R.L is a leading Company in the development and production of flexible electrical resistors called PTF (Polymer Thick Film).
Thanks to the use of special conductive inks or pastes printed on polyester sheet, ALPER is in a position to produce resistors in many shapes and very reduced thicknesses (generally 0.2 mm) to suit the specifications of the end product.
The inks, that have been developed by our Company, in some particular conditions may show PTC features (Positive Temperature Coefficient); this means that they are able to limit the heat produced, with no need to apply a thermostat and with no risk of overheating.
This type of resistor offers many advantages when compared with the more traditional electrical resistors now on the market.
The particular features of PTF heaters make them so versatile that they can be employed in a wide range of applications in both the domestic and industrial sector.

Infra-red radiation partly reflects with a fall on material and partly absorbs. Tre absorbed radiation is changed in heat that penetrates through body. It is a similarity to the sun radiation when with low temperatures comes to a feeling of a heat amenity.
Exactly this piece of knowledge is used with the design of heating with infra radiators HELIOS. In contrast to the air-heating when the hottest air is collected at the ceiling, in our case the effect is exactly contradictory. A stable natural heat climate is created without noise, air draught and dust whirling in an ecologically friendly way. We lower the temperature in the hall about 3-5°C on purpose and the required heat amenity is reached by the radiant heat of the infra radiator.
It is a kind of a „completion“ on a required temperature. The lowering of the calculation air temperature of 1°C brings cca. 7% energy saving. In the present case 20 – 30%.
