The Powermax45® XP 45-amp plasma power supply was last manufactured in March 2024 and is no longer available for sale from Hypertherm. Original replacement torches, consumables, and repair parts remain available. Hypertherm Technical Service continues to support this model.

Torches and consumables

• Upgrade to the Hypertherm cartridge consumable platform: single-piece cartridges optimized by process and amperage to simplify parts and improve performance.
• Duramax® Lock torches (hand, machine, robotic) and Duramax Hyamp® torches are compatible with Powermax45 XP.
• Cartridge adapter available to convert from standard consumables to cartridge platform; adapter part number: 428951. When used with Duramax or Duramax Lock torches via adapter, cartridge-to-system data transfer for automated setup or cartridge usage data is not provided (that functionality is available on SYNC systems with SmartSYNC torch technology).
• Cartridge families: Drag Cutting, FineCut® (hand and mechanized), Mechanized, Max removal and Max control gouging; corresponding cartridge part numbers listed for processes and amperages.
