Absolute precision transducer with central mounting, durable because contactless measurement; completely encapsulated by a robust housing, temperature-resistant precision due to supplementary regulation winding
The inductive precision sensorFTI is used to transform shortlinear travel paths into ana- logue electrical signals using adifferential transformer with amovable core. The core is located on a gauging pin which is pressedagainst the measured objectby an integrated spring. Thesensor is supplied with directvoltage from which an integrated oscillator generates analternating voltage to feed thedifferential transformer. The secondary transformervoltages arerectified in a builtin demodulator. The oscillatorand demodulator are de-signed using hybrid technology. The output current isstrictly proportional to thedisplacement of the core andtherefore to the measuredpath.
The non-contact sensors arevirtually maintenance- andwear-free and boast a perfect reproducibility, resolution andlinearity. The exchange cantake place without recalibration. Magnetic fields have noeffect on the measured signal. The precision sensor is available in protection class IP50and IP67 and due to its completely encapsulated housingand temperature compensating properties of its controlloop coil, it can be used underrough environmental operatingconditions.
