Description

Absolute position transducers for high dynamic positioning tasks. Inductive measurement principle, touchless position detection with free position markers; unlimited mechanical life Suitable for highly dynamic positioning tasks Thanks to its exceptionally good dynamic performance, the new linear sensor is suitable for very fast positioning tasks. The measurement system’s update rate reaches 10 kHz with a very low tracking error. Thanks to the optimized control dynamics, there is no overshoot even during rapid changes in movement. The sensor operates with a resolution of less than 1 μm. Not sensitive to magnetic fields Novopad inductive technology is immune to magnetic fields generated, for example, by large motors, hydraulic valves, or frequency converters, because the position is detected inductively rather than via a magnetic position sensor. Another advantage is that metal shavings cannot accumulate on the non-magnetic position sensor. No damage caused by vibrations and shocks Thanks to its robust design—the measuring scale is implemented using a printed circuit board—and its vibration-resistant inductive transmission, Novopad technology is particularly well-suited for use in applications subject to vibration. The sensor's accuracy and output signal are not affected by these disturbances. Effective communication The measurement signal is output as an analog current signal or digitally via SSI, IO-Link, or CANopen; Ethernet interfaces are currently in the planning stages. In the analog version, a teach function allows for the calibration of the start and end positions as well as direction reversal.
