Description

Overview
The FasTrax® Wash Down Door is a high-speed industrial clean-room / washdown door engineered for sanitary environments. Every component — from the upper track to the side frames and the door fabric — is specified and built to withstand rigorous washdown procedures and to minimize areas where particles or bacteria can accumulate.

Key benefits
  • Withstands high-pressure washdown
  • Removable side frames for easier cleaning and inspection
  • Very high operating speeds — up to 100 in/sec (2.5 m/sec) — to maximize productivity and energy savings

Design
  • Simple, reliable FasTrax design optimized for clean environments
  • One-piece radial header machined from a solid block of UHMW plastic — designed for easy cleaning and minimal water collection; meets USDA and FDA standards and GMP expectations for sanitary clean-up
  • Smooth polypropylene door fabric — higher resistance to acids and bases, lower water absorption compared to vinyls/urethanes, highly resistant to mold; supports superior washdown with harsh cleaning chemicals
  • Non-corrosive Lexan and UHMW side frames — lightweight, easily removable; side frames stand off from the wall to minimize surface-to-surface contact and reduce pockets where bacteria can grow
  • Wash down-rated drive system and controls — sealed and protected for washdown environments

Safety
  • Inherently safer by design with multiple standard safety features including Soft-Breakaway Technology
  • Standard or optional presence-detection systems such as thru-beam photo eyes or a light curtain (depending on door size)
  • Optional motion detection to reduce unintended door operation

Operating speed
  • Very high cycle speeds — up to 100 in/sec (2.5 m/sec) — enabling fast cycle times that improve throughput and reduce energy loss through quicker open/close events

Connected capabilities
The door can be integrated with advanced controls to provide connected visibility and analytics for safety, productivity and uptime. Typical connected features include:
  • Real-time alerts to identify unsafe behavior (examples: door reversals, excessive open time, false activations)
  • Productivity analytics such as total cycle counts and equipment utilization to support data-driven maintenance and operations decisions
  • Uptime monitoring including equipment state designation, performance trending, and service history/documentation capture

Product details
The FasTrax Wash Down Door is specifically configured and constructed to meet the demands of clean environments and food/pharmaceutical washdown applications: materials and design choices reduce areas that trap contaminants, and components are selected to tolerate harsh chemical cleaning.
