Stainless steel chain
Tsubakimoto Chain
Tsubaki offers roller chains in a wide variety of stainless steel grades to give our users maximum corrosion resistance. Common types include:
SS Specifications:
These roller chains are made from SUS 304 (SUS 301 clips) for greater corrosion resistance than standard and surface treated roller chains. Can be used in water and acidic or alkaline atmospheres from -20 to 400C. Slightly magnetic.
NS Specifications:
Made from SUS 316 (SUS 301 clips for RS25NS, SUS 304 cotter pins on RS80NS). Provides greater corrosion resistance than SS Chains. Only the clips are magnetic.
AS Specifications:
Pins and rollers are made of precipitation-hardened tempered stainless steel, while the plates and bushes are 18-8SUS (SUS 304 clips are 17-7SUS (SUS 301)). Their maximum allowable load is 1.5x greater than SS chains, but with slightly less corrosion resistance. AS chains are ideal for applications that require corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and smaller sizes/higher kilowatt ratings than SS chains. Magnetic.
Curved stainless steel roller chains are also available.
