Complying with the sanitary requirements for foods, the CIP self-priming pump adopts acid-resisting stainless steel (AISI 316) in its valve body. This has a unique resistance to alkali and acid.
The positive displacement pump has features which are superior to those in a centrifugal pump as it can suction liquid mixed with air, foams, or just air. It can be widely utilized to suction material where the level of liquid is below the pump. An example is a milking room where milk is suctioned from a milk barrel. It can also be used as a return flow pump in the cleaning tank of an automatic CIP cleaning system.
The temperature of the suctioned material is always less than 100℃ and it has a built-in influx type of mechanical sealing.
