The Type 520A flow sight glass is an intermediate-flange device for industrial high-pressure applications, providing two-sided visual inspection of process media. Designed for operation under elevated pressure and temperature, it is available in standard stainless steel or special alloys for aggressive or thermally stressed environments.
Material & construction- Body: corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloys (standard: 1.4571); optional nickel-based alloys or Hastelloy® on request.
- Two opposing viewing windows made of thermally tempered borosilicate glass, manufactured to DIN 7080 for clear observation from both sides.
Standards, design & connections- Intermediate flange design compatible with flanges per ASME B16.5; connection flanges comply with DIN EN 1759-1.
- Design, strength calculation and construction according to PED 2014/68/EU and AD 2000; custom designs available.
Dimensions & drawing notes- Face-to-face length follows DIN EN 558-1 FTF 2 where constructively possible; specific dimensions per order confirmation or customer drawing.
- Free view (D1) depends on pressure rating and size.
- Cross-section and dimension drawings provided; dimensions executed according to applicable standards where possible.
Applications & suitability- Designed for high-pressure processes in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and energy industries and other industrial sectors.
- Suitable for liquid and gaseous media; options available for aggressive or high-temperature media.
