Product OverviewCustom-engineered ASME- and PED-certified shell and tube heat exchangers for chemical, petrochemical and industrial manufacturing processes. TEMA-standard designs optimized for thermal efficiency in high-pressure, high-temperature environments.
Key Capabilities- Custom thermal design: counterflow, parallel or crossflow; optimized baffle spacing, tube layout and pass configuration to maximize heat recovery efficiency.
- ASME & PED compliance: fabrication per ASME Section VIII and PED 2014/68/EU with full design calculations, material certificates and hydrostatic testing documentation.
- Engineered material selection: carbon steel, 304/316 stainless, duplex stainless, nickel alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy), titanium, copper alloys and other exotic materials as required.
TEMA Configurations- Fixed Tubesheet (BEM, AEL, NEN): economical design with tubes welded to tubesheets fixed to both shell ends. Ideal for clean services where shell-side mechanical cleaning is not required.
- Lowest cost per heat transfer area
- Simple, rugged construction
- Tubeside mechanically cleanable
- Suitable for similar shell/tube temperatures
- Maximum surface in given shell diameter
- Optional expansion joint for thermal stress
- TEMA class BEM, AEL, NEN
- U-Tube Bundle (AEU, BEU): single tubesheet with U-bent tubes allowing thermal expansion; bundle removable for shell-side cleaning without disturbing piping.
- Accommodates thermal expansion
- Removable tube bundle
- No expansion joint required
- Shell-side accessible for cleaning
- Lower cost than floating head
- Limited to even tube passes
- Tubeside cleaning more difficult
- Floating Head (AES, BES, AET, BET): one tubesheet fixed, one floating to accommodate differential expansion; allows complete mechanical cleaning of both shell and tube sides.
- Handles high thermal differentials
- Both sides mechanically cleanable
- Removable tube bundle
- Suitable for fouling services
- Any number of tube passes
- Higher cost than fixed or U-tube
- TEMA S, T, P, W rear heads
Applications- Chemical & petrochemical: process cooling, reactor temperature control, condensers, reboilers, heat removal and product heating.
- Oil & gas refining: crude preheat, product coolers, intercoolers, vaporizers and heat recovery.
- Pharmaceutical: API synthesis control, solvent recovery condensers, bioreactor cooling, WFI heat exchangers.
- OEM integration: custom exchangers for process skids, modular plants and packaged systems.
- Power generation & renewables: condensers, feedwater heating, lube oil cooling, biogas/biodiesel/biomass heat recovery, geothermal and solar thermal applications.
