Description

Overview
The measurement steering wheel is a torque sensor assembly designed to measure steering torque directly at the vehicle steering wheel. It enables direct measurement of steering torque, steering angle and angular speed for vehicle testing and steering-system evaluation.

Key functions
  • Direct measurement of steering torque (steering moment) at the steering wheel
  • Measurement of steering angle
  • Measurement of angular speed

Mounting and usage
  • Mounted to the original vehicle steering wheel
  • Intended for use in vehicle dynamics testing, driver behaviour studies and steering system assessment

Technical specifications
  • Measured quantities: steering torque, steering angle, angular speed
  • Mounting: torque sensor assembly fitted to the original steering wheel
  • Measurement principle: direct torque sensing at the steering wheel
