The VC-8000 (or Vibrocontrol 8000) is a machine protection system. This vibration controller provides comprehensive protection and continuous monitoring for critical rotating and reciprocating machines, with predefined applications for each type of equipment (steam, gas, and hydraulic turbines, reciprocating and rotary compressors, etc.).
The VC-8000 rack is an API 670-compliant machine protection system that uses two types of basic modules for continuous machine data monitoring: Universal Monitoring Modules (UMM) and Temperature Monitoring Modules (TMM). The fundamental task of these modules is to continuously monitor the signals from connected sensors, condition the signals into several measurement parameters for each sensor, and compare these measurements to alarm setpoints.

Description
The VC-8000 rack chassis is entirely constructed from industrial-grade anodized aluminum and stainless steel: every card guide, every front plate, every rack panel.
The VC-8000 system uses state-of-the-art connectors and high-speed design techniques to facilitate ultra-fast data throughput and exceptional reliability.
From an interface perspective, the VC-8000 features an optional LCD touchscreen, backlit, which can be mounted in the rack cabinet or remotely on the front of the cabinet. The system display is intuitive, efficient, and attractive, with a fast refresh rate so there is no tedious wait for the screen to update with current values. It is also easy to see in all lighting conditions, including outdoors. It works with fingers, gloves, or a stylus.
Early detection of machine failures and diagnostics enable predictive corrective actions. Regardless of the type of machine to be monitored, potential failure modes, analysis requirements, IT infrastructure, and compliance requirements.
The internal memory of the VC-8000 can be used as a recorder for diagnostics and root cause analysis, with or without server connection.
