Description

Charging electric vehicles requires DC-sensitive residual current monitoring in order to avoid electrical hazards. Typically, a type A residual current circuit breaker is installed in an installation. These cannot detect DC faults. However, DC residual currents can cause the type A residual current circuit-breaker to go blind. They must therefore be protected by a DC-sensitive residual current sensor. The benvac® X836 detects DC residual currents in accordance with IEC62955:2018 and AC/DC residual currents in accordance with UL2231-2 Ed.2. Features High-precision, patented measuring method (patents: EP2571128 / US9397494 / CN103001175 // EP2813856) Two digital outputs (IEC 62955 / UL2231) UART interface Compliant with IEC62955:2018 Compliant with UL2231-2 Ed.2 Applications Wallboxes (Mode3) Personal protection systems for electric vehicles in accordance with UL2231
