Product information
The PUREBERG® F09WW is a water separator (condensate separator) for compressed air systems rated 510 m3/h at 7 bar. It removes bulk moisture and condensate from the airflow using centrifugal force and gravity via an internal vane insert that creates controlled rotational movement. Separated liquids collect at the bottom of the housing and can be drained manually or automatically. The turbulent-free collection zone prevents re-entrainment of separated liquids.

Function and application
The separator induces a high-speed circular movement of the incoming compressed air (via curved inlet and guide vanes). Centrifugal forces drive water droplets to the housing wall so they flow down into the collection chamber by gravity. A riser tube and shielding of the collection area prevent particle transfer into the cleaned ascending airstream and avoid carry-over of condensate. Typical uses: compressor outlet protection, pipeline pre-separation, protection of downstream dryers and equipment in industrial compressed air systems.

Can a water separator be considered a filter?
A water separator is not the same as a particulate or oil filter. Separators remove bulk moisture/condensate using centrifugal action, baffles and gravity. Filters capture solid particles, oil aerosols and other contaminants by defined filtration media. In practice, separators and filters are used together to ensure dry, particle-free compressed air.

Downloads and included accessories
The product is supplied with BEKOMAT 20 (condensate drain) included for automatic condensate discharge when specified. Automatic drains reduce manual maintenance and prevent air losses when correctly installed.

Notes
Designed for compressed air and vacuum systems up to 20 bar. Separator operation relies on physical separation (no replaceable filter elements required). Periodic inspection and maintenance of the housing, drain and seals are recommended for long-term performance.
