Description

A preset mechanical torque adapter designed to convert a 1/4 inch bit and holder into a torque-controlled manual tool. It provides a tactile and audible click at the preset torque and prevents overtightening.

Key features
  • Preset torque, precise for at least 20,000 clicks
  • Tolerance ±10% (factory certificate on request)
  • Tightening torque 7.0 Nm / 71.3 Kgfcm / 62.0 in-lb
  • Bit magnetic holder 1/4 inch hexagon 6.35 mm (DIN 3126)
  • Drive hex shank 1/4 inch (DIN 3126)
  • Material: alloyed steel
  • Adapter Ø 20 mm
  • Adapter length 33.5 mm (without shank)
  • Total length 43.5 mm
  • Weight 69 g

Area of application
Turn your ¼ inch bit and a holder into a torque-controlled manual tool. The torque value is preset in the adapter and can be clamped between any standard holding tool and a bit. The click indicates when the torque is reached. The adapter cannot be overtightened. When loosening the screw, there is no torque unlocking (due to the blocked core shaft), so no additional loosening tool is required (approx. 30% higher torque when loosening). The adapter is primarily suitable for manual operation.

Technical description
The adapters are tested according to DIN EN ISO 6789 (manually operated torque screwdriving tools) and maintain a tolerance of ±10% for at least 20,000 clicks. The torque value should be checked regularly by the user with a torque meter. The adapter functions by locking the ratchet in the bushing sleeve. The patented system also includes a hollow core shaft and a damping cylinder. The core shaft moves the mobile ratchet; the damping cylinder has a slot allowing the spacer sleeve to slide on the core shaft. When applied torque exceeds the preset value, the core shaft becomes inactive, so continuous tension is no longer increased on the screw.

General information
Torque adapters are often used as a complete solution for assembly and maintenance work on electronic equipment, in quick-change systems, robotic stations, aerospace, medical technology, or at any workbench where accurate torque is required.
