Product overviewThe preset click-type torque adapter 4-971 (0.1 Nm) converts a standard 4 mm C4 bit and a holder into a precise low-torque manual torque tool. It emits an audible click at the preset torque to prevent overtightening. The adapter is primarily intended for manual operation; when used with power tools a maximum speed of 100 rpm is recommended to minimize click repetition.
Area of applicationSuitable for assembly and maintenance where very low, repeatable torque is required: electronics, quick-change systems, robotic stations, aerospace, medical device assembly and general bench work.
Technical descriptionAdapters are tested to DIN EN ISO 6789 (manually operated torque screwdriving tools) and maintain a tolerance of ±10% for at least 20,000 clicks. The torque should be checked periodically with a torque meter. The adapter works by locking the ratchet and controlling torque in the bushing sleeve. The patented mechanism includes a hollow core shaft and a damping cylinder; the core shaft moves the mobile ratchet and the damping cylinder’s slot allows the spacer sleeve to slide. When applied torque exceeds the preset value the core shaft becomes inactive, so tension is no longer increased on the fastener.
General informationTorque adapters are commonly used as a compact solution for precise torque requirements across electronics, quick-change systems, robotic cells, aerospace, medical and bench applications.
