Description

Short description
  • Compact universal pump with easy operation. Universal plug allows use with all common containers.
  • Cost-effective pump, resistant to weak acids, alkalis and cleaning agents.
  • Foot-operated, leaving both hands free for filling.

Detailed information
The OTAL® foot pump with PP delivery tubes is a reliable, flexible and cost-effective pump for transferring liquids.
Different delivery tubes with different diameters and flow rates are available to meet specific requirements.
The PP delivery tubes offer good resistance to weak acids, alkalis and detergents. The outlet can be turned upwards to prevent dripping.
The OTAL® foot pump with PP delivery tubes is easy to use and durable. It is the ideal choice for cost-effective and reliable liquid filling.
OTAL® hand and foot pumps are compact universal pumps for filling and transferring from containers and drums. Established on the market for more than 70 years, the pumps are known for their ease of use in daily applications.
The drum and container pumps operate on the air-over-pressure principle. Only the delivery tubes come into contact with the liquid, ensuring broad chemical resistance. Depending on the model, the tubes are made of PE, PP, PVDF or stainless steel.
To ensure correct operation, the pumps must be mounted in an airtight container. Repeated actuation of the pump ball creates an overpressure in the container which drives the liquid out of the container through the delivery tube. The liquid flow is pulsation-free and uniform and can be stopped immediately via the vent valve without any after-running.
OTAL® hand and foot pumps are robust, durable and of outstanding quality. They can be used to transfer and fill acids, alkalis and aqueous solutions from larger containers to smaller ones easily and cost-effectively.
The universal plug allows the pump to be used with all common containers without the need for a threaded connection.
The telescopic immersion tube is height adjustable and can be shortened if necessary to ensure optimum residual emptying for drums as well as smaller canisters.
Thanks to their compact design and universal applicability, the pumps are suitable for draining and transferring small quantities of water, oils, acids, alkalis and other liquids with a maximum viscosity of approx. 500 mPas.

Area of application
The OTAL® foot-operated pump with PP delivery tubes is ideal for industrial applications such as the chemical industry, food processing, waste water treatment, laboratories and other areas where small or large volumes of liquid need to be reliably filled.

Application / How to use
  • If necessary, adjust the universal plug to fit the opening diameter of the container.
  • Fully extend the telescopic feeding tube.
  • Insert the telescopic tube and the universal plug into the container and press them together to form a seal.
  • Close the stop valve.
  • Position the discharge elbow above the filling container.
  • Actuate the pump ball and build up pressure. Liquid will now flow.
  • To stop filling, open the stop valve and release the excess pressure.
  • After filling, turn the discharge elbow with the opening facing up to prevent dripping.
