Short product overview
The OTAL® foot pump with hose and stopcock is a flexible, space-saving pump for filling and transferring liquids from containers and drums. The flexible 1.5 m discharge hose allows the filling container to be positioned independently of the pump. The stopcock provides good dosing and prevents unintentional run-on of the liquid.

Materials & design
The pump is equipped with a flexible discharge hose made of PVC and a stopcock made of PP/PE. Delivery tubes are made of PP for this model; other OTAL® models are available with PE, PVDF or stainless-steel delivery tubes. The discharge hose can be shortened or replaced if necessary. The telescopic immersion tube is height adjustable and can be shortened to optimise residual emptying.

Operating principle
The drum and container pumps operate on the air-over-pressure principle: only the delivery tubes come into contact with the liquid, ensuring broad chemical resistance. The pump must be mounted in an airtight container. Repeated actuation of the pump ball creates an overpressure in the container which drives the liquid out through the delivery tube. The liquid flow is pulsation-free and uniform and can be stopped immediately via the vent valve without after-running.

Applications
The pump is suitable for industry, crafts, agriculture and laboratories for transferring and filling water, oils, acids, alkalis and aqueous solutions. It is particularly useful where the filling container must be positioned remotely from the pump (e.g. filling small containers from drums). Max. recommended viscosity approx. 500 mPas.
