Description

Short description
This high-precision, durable inductive displacement sensor 8742 is designed for compact, robust measurement tasks in industrial environments. With IP67 protection and an operating temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C (short-term), it is suitable for demanding process and infrastructure applications. Multiple mounting options and a highly linear output simplify installation and integration.

Product description
The inductive displacement sensor model 8742 provides a highly linear output (from 0.1 % F.S.), excellent repeatability and stability across a wide temperature range. The compact stainless-steel housing (Ø 19 mm) enables easy alignment and installation. Mechanical options include flange mounting, clamp mounting or ball-joint installation. The push rod can be specified with an M4 internal thread, spring return with a curved probe tip, or a rod end. Output options (0.5 ... 9.5 V; 0.5 ... 4.5 V; 4 ... 20 mA) allow straightforward integration into control systems and monitoring points.
