Application The ROBA®-linearstop is designed for use with linear movements. It can be used wherever a piston rod is available or can be additionally attached. It prevents unintentional sinking or falling of gravity-loaded axes. The ROBA®-linearstop pneumatic type 381.0 is designed as clamping unit and is suitable for EMERGENCY STOP braking. The pneumatic version Type 381.1 is also suitable for dynamic braking. Functionality The ROBA®-linearstop pneumatic is a pneumatic safety brake. In the de-energised state, springs act on a clamping element. The piston rod is clamped. By applying the required operating pressure, the spring force is released. The piston rod can be moved.
