Waterproof, robust monobloc brake The ROBA®-stop®-S is an electromagnetic safety brake actuated by quiescent current. When de-energised, the pressure springs of the ROBA-stop®-S press against the armature disk. The rotor is held between the armature disk and the flange plate. The shaft is braked via the toothed hub. The magnetic force of the coil in the coil carrier pulls the armature disk against the coil carrier against the spring pressure. The brake is released and the shaft can pass through.
