General description
DLAW surge protectors are designed to protect terminal equipment connected to industrial buses, telecom lines and data lines against surge voltages caused by lightning and switching events. The devices mount on a symmetrical 35 mm DIN rail and cover common transmission lines with line voltages from 6 to 170 V and bitrates up to 10 Mbit/s. The D3 version provides fine protection while the D2 version is intended for floating applications. The 1-pair units include a removable protection module to simplify maintenance and replacement.
