Description

Product overview
The HZSM is a self-priming, single- or multistage sectional pump equipped with a permanent magnetic coupling. The magnetic gap hermetically isolates the pumped fluid from the environment. Internal circulation removes heat generated by eddy current losses.

Venting / operating principle
The venting device operates on a side-channel principle. During start-up, the liquid retained in the pump mixes with air in the suction line to form a liquid–gas mixture; the venting wheel conveys the air fraction to the discharge nozzle. The pressure-side arrangement of the venting stage ensures complete deaeration of the suction line and pump casing.

Magnetic coupling and heat dissipation
The pump uses a permanent magnet coupling; the gap chamber provides a hermetic barrier. An internal circulation flow evacuates the heat generated by eddy current losses in the gap.

Bearings and sealing
The pump shaft is supported by SiC sliding bearings on the product side; the drive shaft runs in permanently grease-lubricated ball bearings. Wear rings on suction and discharge sides are standard. Sealing is achieved by the magnetic coupling (hermetic separation without mechanical seal).

Axial thrust balance
Axial thrust is balanced by a double-sided relief disc whose relief chambers are loaded by both the pump discharge and the pressure of the first stage.
