DescriptionThe HZV type is a vertical single- or multistage column submersible pump specifically designed for the transfer of hydrocarbons in refuelling and tank systems. Typical uses include unloading fuels and solvents from underground tanks, pumping kerosene in hydrant fueling systems for aircraft refuelling and condensate return. Thanks to a broad material selection, various design variants and shaft sealing options, HZV pumps are suitable for many low-viscosity, solid-free liquids.
Design and installationThe hydraulic pump section is located inside the tank or immersed in the pumped medium. The lantern for the drive motor is mounted outside the tank on a dome cover. Connection is achieved via a multi-stage shaft and pipe assembly. Pump and drive shafts are supported in plain bearings. The upper drive shaft is fixed by a grease-lubricated, double-row angular contact ball bearing. Immersion depths up to 15 m are possible.
