The PGx01 series is a high energy, broadly tunable picosecond optical parametric amplifier (OPA) designed for advanced spectroscopy and research applications. Travelling Wave Optical Parametric Generators (TWOPG) provide ultra-fast, tunable coherent light sources spanning from the ultraviolet (UV) to the mid-infrared (mid-IR) spectrum, making them ideal for a wide range of scientific investigations.

DescriptionThe PGx01 series consists of several functional modules: optical parametric generator (OPG), diffraction grating-based linewidth narrowing system (LNS), optical parametric amplifier (OPA), and an electronic control unit. The OPG module generates parametric superfluorescence (PS), with spectral properties determined by the nonlinear crystal and varying with wavelength. For narrowband radiation, the OPG output is narrowed by the LNS to 6 cm⁻¹ and used to seed the OPA.
Output wavelength tuning is achieved by adjusting the angle of the nonlinear crystal(s) and grating, with precise stepper motors and computerized control ensuring exceptional wavelength reproducibility. Nonlinear crystal temperature stabilization provides long-term output stability. Built-in photodetectors monitor pump pulse energy to protect the crystals, and the control unit alerts if energy exceeds preset values.
The system can be operated via master device or PC (USB, RS232, LAN) or from a remote control pad with a backlit display, suitable for use with laser safety glasses.
