The crushing process is both efficient and effective at material separation: after metal enters the crushing chamber, it is first shattered by top-mounted hammers, then directed into the grinding space between the rotary cutter disc and wear-resistant liner for further crushing and polishing.
This action effectively cleans the metal surface and separates materials of different compositions, facilitating downstream sorting. Crushed metal pieces are reduced to a size of 50–80 mm and discharged smoothly through the bottom outlet by a scraper system.
