Product OverviewThe Electro-hydraulic Erichsen cupping machine – Model 111 is an electronically controlled sheet metal testing machine with an electro-hydraulic drive and a maximum drawing force of 45 kN. Its functional design ensures user-friendliness, and it is equipped with a clear touch panel interface, allowing for easy navigation, five freely programmable programs, and tool changes. Password-protected levels safeguard against unauthorized access.
Key Features- Touch panel displays all required parameters: drawing stroke, drawing force, and drawing speed.
- Individually adjustable crack detection system.
- Automatic test procedure, including crack detection and specimen release.
- Sturdy construction for long-term repeatability and minimal wear.
Purpose and ApplicationThis machine is designed for quick and easy quality conformance inspection and quality control on sheet and strip metal. Its robust build makes it especially suitable for production monitoring.
- Reduces manufacturing costs by enabling spot checks on drawing quality during production.
- Allows immediate sorting of lower quality materials upon arrival, without special test preparation.
- Helps determine the most suitable sheet thickness for specific workpieces, optimizing cost and suitability.
Quantitative assessment of sheet quality is achieved using the ERICHSEN Cupping Value, facilitating communication between producers and users. The machine provides valuable information on crack shape and surface roughness (grain size), indicating the quality and drawability of sheet metal.
DesignThe Model 111 is a compact, work-top model requiring minimal space. All hydraulic and electronic components are housed in a sturdy sheet metal enclosure. The control elements and touch panel are clearly arranged on the front. The test cylinder is angled for comfortable operation while seated. Specimen removal is automatic after testing, and the entire process, including crack detection, is automated.
During the ERICHSEN Cupping Test, the specimen is inserted and centralized in the test cylinder. After pressing Start, a fixed sheet holder force of 10 kN is applied, followed by the deep-drawing process.
