Description

Overview
  • The Universal Sheet Metal Testing Machine Model 145 is an electro-hydraulic system for cupping, deep-draw, bulge and forming-limit investigations on ferrous and non-ferrous sheets and coils.
  • Available variants: Basic – 600 kN (Model 145-60-Basic), 600 kN (Model 145-60), 1000 kN (Model 145-100). Fully automatic test sequences with digital force and stroke displays.

Applications
  • Square cup test (40 x 40 mm or 70 x 70 mm)
  • Hole expansion test (ISO 16630)
  • Determination of forming limit curves (FLC)
  • LDH test
  • Deep drawing with blankholder quick release (for earing tests)
  • Deep drawing with preselected punch stroke
  • High-temperature deep drawing up to 550 C
  • Bulge test according to ISO 16808
  • ERICHSEN cupping test for lacquer and paint according to DIN ISO 1520
  • Stamping lacquer and coil-coating cup tests
  • Special tests on request

Design
  • Electro-hydraulic drive; test sequences selectable automatic or manual
  • Digital display of drawing force, blankholder force and drawing punch stroke
  • Triple-acting hydraulic system for simplified design and cost savings
  • Blanking press in the head (blanking force max. 800 kN) to punch and deep-draw blanks in one step
  • Hydraulic cup ejector for easy part removal
  • Fully automatic sequence controlled by PLC including automatic stop on specimen failure

Further technical advantages
  • Safety: Integrated access protection on the clamping cylinder and electronic head-position monitoring to prevent operation with open lid
  • User-friendly: Clear layout of controls on an inclined ergonomic control panel
  • Cylinder head with bayonet lock: Immediate access to dies, blanking rings and blank holders for quick tool changes
  • Infinitely variable drawing speed: Set speed remains constant throughout the stroke independent of load changes
  • Cardanic drawing die retention: Ensures parallel, consistent clamping regardless of thickness variations
  • Sheet holder quick release (BSA) — optional: Releases sheet holder force at a preselected punch path to avoid squashing ear ends
  • Drawing punch stop (ZS) — optional: Machine stops at the preselected punch position (for drawing speeds up to approx. 20 mm/min)
