Product description
The GRAVURE PROOFER GP100 (model 631) is a high-speed gravure proofing press designed to produce accurate proof prints with rotogravure inks. The tester features a microprocessor-controlled servo drive and a pneumatic press-on process with adjustable speeds from 1 to 100 m/min. One electronically engraved printing plate is supplied. The unit is intended for manufacturers and converters of gravure inks for quality control samples, customer presentations, R&D and computerized colour formulation. The GP100 is designed for straightforward operation and simplified maintenance.

Gravure printing
The ink is transferred directly from the electronically engraved, doctored printing plate onto the substrate fixed to the rubber impression roller. Squeegee and roller settings are pneumatic, ensuring excellent repeatability for subsequent proofs.

Printing plates
The GP100 uses the same electronically engraved plate types as the established PRINTING PROOFER and they are engraved in the same manner as production cylinders. Standard plates cover most applications; plates can be customised with a company logo or identification on request.

Cleaning
The design simplifies cleaning of components after each print. The doctor blade is easy to remove and the printing plate and rubber impression roller are readily accessible for cleaning.
