DescriptionThe Model 9207 ultrasonic leak detector is a hand-held instrument designed to locate leaks in compressed air and non-flammable gas systems. The unit converts ultrasonic emissions into an audible signal (via included earbuds) and provides a visual indication on an LED display. Sensitivity is adjustable to suppress background noise and accessories (parabola or tubular extension) allow focused detection in noisy or hard-to-reach areas. Detection is effective up to 20 ft (6.1 m).
Applications- Locate leaks in air, steam and non-flammable gas systems: pipes, fittings, valves, cylinders and pressure vessels
- Identify sources of bearing and gear wear
- Detect arcing and electrical discharge in power systems
- Find leaks in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Locate leaks in brake systems, tubes, tires and radiators
- Detect cracks in moving rubber V-belts
- Inspect vacuum systems for leaks
- Check engine seals and other pressurized components
Advantages- Detects pressurized air leaks up to 20 ft (6.1 m)
- Converts ultrasound to audible frequency for rapid localization
- LED display confirms leak location
- Operates effectively in noisy industrial environments
- Adjustable sensitivity (+/−) filters background noise for accurate detection
- Unaffected by common contaminants or windy conditions
- Includes accessories to reach tight or inaccessible areas
- Protective carrying case included
- Complies with IEC 61326-1
