Description

Product overview
EXcell 231 is a digital NIR absorption probe for in-line monitoring of biotech, food and pharmaceutical production processes. It features a standardized 12 mm stainless steel shaft, wear-free sapphire measurement windows and an integrated digital amplifier. Output units include absorbance, turbidity and mass units (EBC / FAU / mg/l / AU / OD) or customer-specific units. The sensor is parameterizable from a PC using EXpert software and supports data logging and graphical display. Interfaces: Modbus RTU (RS485), USB and optional analogue 4...20 mA; integrated measured-value display.

Installation / Process integration
The probe installs via a PG13.5 process thread; installation dimensions match a standardized pH probe allowing use of compatible retractable housings and automatic cleaning systems. With EXtract 8XX retractable housings and EXmatic 470/471 control unit, fully automatic cleaning under process conditions is possible.
