Description

Overview
The KREBS® high-pressure pump range (millMAX™, slurryMAX™-HP / XHP, UMD™-HP) is engineered for multi-stage, high-pressure slurry applications where sustained hydraulic performance, predictable wear and serviceability are required. Models address duties including filter press feed, hydro-transport and coarse tailings transfer.

Key benefits of our high-pressure pumps
  • Handle elevated operating pressures — millMAX-HP variants and UMD-HP incorporate internal hydraulic configurations and reinforced casings for high-pressure operation.
  • Preserve hydraulic performance at constant RPM — an adjustable wear ring enables single-operator suction-side clearance control with a standard wrench, maintaining efficiency over pump life.
  • Facilitate predictive maintenance — tie-bolt casings permit ultrasonic thickness monitoring; split-case slurryMAX-HP/XHP models allow faster internal inspection and component replacement.

Our high-pressure pump families
  • millMAX-HH / XHH (high-head): For high total dynamic head applications (e.g., filter press feed, one- or two-stage pumping). Concentric casing ensures uniform velocity and pressure distribution irrespective of BEP position, supporting longer wear life and lower power consumption.
  • millMAX-HP (high-pressure): Delivers millMAX hydraulic efficiency in high-pressure, multi-stage systems. Rated for operating pressures >500 psi (35 bar) in applicable configurations; features robust casing and reinforced wear linings.
  • slurryMAX-HP / XHP (high-pressure): Split-case, high-pressure variants with reinforced outer ribs, thick elastomer liners and heavy-duty impellers for extended wear life and interchangeable wear-material options.
  • UMD-HP (high-pressure): Designed for multi-stage coarse tailings and hydro-transport. Produces a deep slurry bed to shield casing from coarse solids, increases cutwater clearance to reduce turbulence, and uses optimised impellers and oversized outer liners to minimise localized wear and energy use.

Maintenance and service
Global aftermarket support includes onsite service capability, spare parts distribution, offsite rebuild/exchange programmes and operator/maintenance training (including wear-ring adjustment procedures). Design features such as split-case construction and tie-bolt casings simplify inspection and predictive maintenance planning.

Built for sustainable performance
  • Energy efficiency: selected high-pressure designs can reduce power demand (typical reductions of 5–10% for equivalent flow and head).
  • Safety: designs enable safer, easier maintenance access during operation.
  • Circularity: extended component life reduces replacement frequency and material waste.

Technical specifications
  • Product family / series: KREBS® high-pressure pumps (millMAX™, slurryMAX™-HP / XHP, UMD™-HP)
  • High-pressure capability: millMAX-HP rated >500 psi (35 bar) in applicable configurations
  • Casing designs: tie-bolt (compact, high-pressure capable) and split-case (facilitates internal inspection and maintenance)
  • Wear materials: multiple elastomers, urethane and metal/alloy options; thick elastomer linings reinforced for high-pressure service; interchangeable wear material options within common housings
  • Adjustable wear ring: single-operator adjustment for suction-side clearance control to preserve hydraulic performance at constant RPM
  • Maintenance features: tie-bolt design permits ultrasonic casing-thickness monitoring; split-case pumps provide easier internal access
  • Typical performance benefits: extended component life, improved lifetime pumping efficiency, reduced cost-per-tonne pumped, potential 5–10% power reduction for equivalent duty in some designs
