The Fumex DSK 400 and DSK 700 are fume cabinets developed for environments where maximum extraction efficiency is required. They are intended for work with open chemical vessels, setup of chemical apparatus, gluing and similar tasks where several sources of contamination may be present.

The cabinets are manufactured with transparent sheets and a stable aluminium frame, which helps keep the work area visible and unobstructed. Their design also makes them easy to move when tasks and working locations vary. DSK is available in two standard sizes, DSK 400 and DSK 700, while special sizes and designs are available on request.

The standard configuration is delivered partially assembled, with the exhaust air connection mounted at the rear. Alternative placement of the connection can also be specified when ordering. The cabinet is designed to be connected to a separate fan or to a mobile filter unit such as LF 70.

The construction uses 4 mm Vivak PETG sheets together with an anodised aluminium frame. For DSK 400, the connection size is Ø125 mm, the volume is 96 l and the weight is 6.5 kg. For DSK 700, the connection size is Ø160 mm, the volume is 350 l and the weight is 13.5 kg.

Recommended airflow depends on the required front velocity. For DSK 400, airflow is 67 l/s at 0.5 m/s front velocity and 40 l/s at 0.3 m/s. For DSK 700, airflow is 208 l/s at 0.5 m/s and 125 l/s at 0.3 m/s.
