DESCRIPTION
Shot peening is a well-established process that ensures greater strength of the material and extends its service life. Springs, which are used in rail or automotive industry are constantly exposed to torsion and compressive loading, which causes material fatigue and consequently springs breakage.
Springs shot peening machine is designed for shot peening of various types of springs, with which we increase the dynamic strength of workpieces that are exposed to high alternative bending or torsion tensions.
Workpieces move through the machine on purpose-made conveyors. The springs rotate and move axially through the shot blating zone, so that the shotblasting is optimal for each individual spring.
Springs shot peening machine has installed the required number of blasting wheels, which are equipped with frequency converters for setting the outlet speed of the abrasive. This ensures the appropriate intensity of shot peening of surface of the workpieces.
An Almen test is a crucial component of a controlled shot peening process because it measures the blasting intensity. Following this procedure, we measure the bending of special test strips, exposed to the same blasting conditions as workpieces being blasted.
