Type of Mill : Double ROLLER Mill
OPERATION:
The double roller crusher consists of two cylinders rotating in the same or opposite directions, between which the material is crushed by compression and shear. The gap between the rollers determines the final particle size.
DESIGN:
It comprises two steel rollers (smooth, grooved, or toothed depending on the material), a feeding system, a gap adjustment mechanism, and a safety system to prevent breakage in case of foreign objects.
- Robust welded frame.
- Easy maintenance and disassembly thanks to the tilting articulated arms in which the scraping devices are incorporated.
- Easy and permanent adjustment of the cylinder gap.
- Cylinders made of steel or treated cast iron.
- Shafts and joints mounted on bearings.
APPLICATIONS:
Commonly used in the cement, metallurgy, chemical, mining, and recycling industries. It is used for the coarse to medium grinding of soft to medium-hard ores.
- Granulated compound fertilizers
- Briquette residues
- Agglomerated cement blocks
- Gypsum limestone, etc.
The reduction ratio depends on the roller diameter, speed, pressure applied, and the hardness of the material. The twin-roll mill produces a homogeneous product with few fines and moderate energy consumption, but it is not suitable for very fine grinding.
