PETRO-PIT® 416 hydrocarbon filter for drainage of retention tanks (Ø inlet: 1.5" male) Part of the SPI® filter technology, the PETRO-PIT® range is the world's reference for small and medium sized hydrocarbon and ester contaminated rainwater filter cartridges. Made of rigid PVC for strength and durability, the P-PIT416 cartridge is designed to fit easily into any type of tank. The filters ensure continuous filtration of this drainage water, while trapping harmful hydrocarbons, thus preventing soil pollution. The flow rate of the filters is 1.5l/min to 3l/min and should be changed every year. The filters contain a mix of oleophilic and hydrophobic polymeric components that permanently trap hydrocarbons. In the event of a major oil spill, the component reacts and forms a plug, preventing any fluid from being released into the environment: the system is self-locking and works without mechanical parts or electrical connections. Patented system, ideal for outdoor retention tanks (flexible, metal or concrete). Can be used horizontally or slightly inclined in the direction of flow.
