Description

Overview
The BRAD® 600 is a mechanical protective enclosure designed to reduce the risk of accidental impacts to PETRO-PIPE® SPI filter cartridges and pre-filters. It protects the elements, preserves sealing and hydraulic performance, and enhances safety during operation and maintenance around transformers, retention basins, photovoltaic skids and BESS.

Description of the BRAD® 600
  • Galvanized zinc-coated steel (Z275): engineered for outdoor use and long-lasting resistance to environmental conditions.
  • Laser-cut and folded manufacturing: process ensuring a precise, robust structure adapted to on-site constraints.
  • Exclusive SANERGRID® design: screw-free, weld-free, adhesive-free design without moving parts, facilitating installation and mechanical integrity.
  • Structure providing resistance to lateral, vertical and transverse loads, accidental impacts and high-wind constraints.
  • Fast, universal installation without modification to the retention basin, concrete pit or photovoltaic skid.
  • Designed not to alter the hydraulic behavior of the filtration system and to help limit direct UV exposure of filter cartridges.

Application areas
  • Protection of filtration kits on transformer retention basins (dielectric oil or other hydrocarbons).
  • Photovoltaic installations and PETRO-PIPE® filtration skids.
  • BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and concrete pits requiring mechanical protection of filters.

Functions and benefits
  • Reduces risk of breakage of the PVC threaded heads of filter cartridges and pre-filters.
  • Maintains filtration system sealing.
  • Preserves hydraulic performance of the filtration device.
  • Secures maintenance operations and frequent passages around filtration equipment.

Installation
  • Slightly spread the edges of the enclosure to allow insertion over the filtration kit.
  • Position BRAD® between the elbow and the pre-filter; it holds in place on the kit.
  • Can be installed on new systems equipped with PETRO-PIPE® SPI filters or retrofitted on existing installations without modification of the basin.

Maintenance
  • Low maintenance; periodic visual inspection recommended.

Accessories and options
  • The BRAD® range is available according to the type of cartridges to be protected (e.g. references adapted to PETRO-PIT® and PETRO-PIPE® ranges).
  • Example references: BRAD 400 (for PETRO-PIT®) and BRAD 600 (for PETRO-PIPE®).
  • Custom manufacturing possible (BRAD SP) for enclosures adapted to specific configurations.

Characteristics / technical specifications
  • Weight: 6.6 kg
  • Dimensions (L × W × H): 660 × 210 × 210 mm
  • Operating conditions: Outdoor, Indoor
  • Material: Steel (galvanized zinc-coated Z275)
  • Target filtration: Dielectric oils, Hydrocarbons
  • Manufacturing process: Laser cutting and folding
  • Design: screw-free, weld-free, no mechanical parts (resistant to lateral, vertical and transverse loads)
