Product overviewThe PITe magnetic-inductive insertion flow sensor provides a cost-effective solution for reliable measurement of volume flow of electrically conductive liquids, slurries and pastes in industrial installations. It features a compact insertion design for installation via a weld-on adapter and a threaded quick-release mechanism that allows sensor removal without full system shutdown.
Highlights- Suitable for pipe diameters up to DN 400 / 16 inch
- Remote version with fixed cable connection
- Low space requirement
- Robust and maintenance-free construction
Measurement principleThe PITe operates according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction: a conductive fluid moving through the meter's magnetic field generates a voltage proportional to the flow velocity, which is measured by internal electrodes to determine flow rate.
Installation and equipmentThe sensor is supplied with a weld-on adapter for straightforward integration into pipelines up to DN 400. The threaded quick-release permits installation or removal with minimal downtime. Materials and construction ensure long-term operation in industrial environments while reducing acquisition cost compared with full in-line meters.
