Description
The UMC5 transmitter has been specifically developed for Coriolis mass flow meters and ensures precise and stable processing of mass flow, density, and temperature values. Thanks to its compact and robust design, the transmitter is ideally suited for demanding industrial applications. For safety-critical areas, the UMC5 is available in an explosion-proof version suitable for the chemical industry, oil & gas and hydrogen technologies.

The integrated operating unit allows the transmitter to be flexibly adapted to individual process requirements. Basic factory configuration, including transmitter calibration, is carried out by the manufacturer. Additional parameters can be adjusted by the user at any time.

The UMC5 features an integrated Data Storage Block (DSB) that stores essential sensor data (sensor constant, instrument version, serial number, and other device parameters) to enable fast replacement and safe, simple commissioning.

Communication & Integration
With 4…20 mA, HART®, and Modbus RTU, the UMC5 can be integrated into existing process control and automation systems. Integrated diagnostic functions and a user-friendly operating interface support fast commissioning and simplify condition-based maintenance.

Special features
External operation without opening the housing
The UMC5 can be operated from the outside without opening the housing, improving safety during commissioning and maintenance, especially in hazardous areas. The display can be rotated in 90° increments to ensure readability in different mounting positions.

Colour display for instant status indication
The high-resolution colour display provides excellent readability and instant status recognition; in case of a fault the background automatically changes to red for fast response.

Flexible output configuration with universal slot system
The modular design with two freely configurable slots allows combination of analog, binary and digital outputs and communication interfaces for retrofit and flexible system design.

Integrated SD card for data logging and diagnostics
Integrated SD card stores operating data, events and diagnostic logs for analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Fast signal processing with flexible filter settings
The UMC5 processes measurement signals quickly and can be adapted to different process requirements through selectable filter levels. Depending on application, configure for fast response or enhanced smoothing.
