Description

V5004TY Series pressure independent control valves combine a differential pressure regulating mechanism with a full stroke control valve to achieve optimized flow control across a wide spectrum of varying system pressures and flow rates. The V5004TY pressure independent control valve normalizes the differential pressure across the control valve portion, enabling it to maintain a constant flow rate without changing the actuator position. This provides stable flow and stable system conditions, to optimize equipment use, energy use, and performance. It is suitable for use in variable and constant flow systems, as flow limiter in constant flow systems (without an actuator), or with an actuator as a pressure independent control valve. Typical use is control of fan coil units, air handling units, chilled ceilings and two-pipe heating systems. The mechanism reduces actuator movements resulting from pressure fluctuations, which will extend actuator life. No complex calculation is needed for selection, simply pick a valve with a suitable maximum flow rate range to suit the application and connection sizes used. No hydronic balancing is needed for commissioning. Sizes available from DN15 to DN50, types A and B are PN25 and type E is PN16.
