OverviewHyster® H36–48XD series heavy-duty forklift trucks designed for the most demanding industrial applications (ports, metal handling, quarrying, mining). Robust frame and mast architecture, proven components and service-oriented design deliver long uptime and predictable operating costs.
Key features- Intelligent heavy-duty design
- Low cost of ownership
- Service-friendly access
- Operator comfort and visibility
- Performance optimisation
Intelligent designHeavy-duty masts and carriages are engineered for long load centres, wide and specialty loads and sustained heavy-duty cycles. Apron side-shift carriages minimise capacity derate to preserve rated capacity. Greaseable load rollers and reinforced mast channels, rollers, stub shafts and chain anchors reduce mast deflection. Short wheelbase options improve compactness and turning radius in constrained spaces.
Low Cost of OwnershipIntegrated powertrain and on-demand hydraulics reduce fuel consumption while maintaining productivity. Engines use high-pressure injection systems and variable-geometry turbochargers where specified. Advanced electronic controls optimise performance, fuel economy and component life to lower operating cost per shift.
Easily serviceableService access is designed for technicians: powered tilting operator compartment, large removable floor plates and routine checks without cab tilt. Major engine and drivetrain items operate on 500-hour intervals; hydraulic oil change intervals up to 2000 hours reduce downtime and service frequency.
Operator comfortErgonomic high-visibility cab with armored top window, curved front and rear windows, and steel doors with tempered glass. Spacious entry, full-colour performance display, laterally sliding seat, adjustable steering column and ergonomic controls improve operator efficiency and reduce fatigue. Sloped counterweights enhance view of steer tyres for safer manoeuvring.
Performance optimisationFeatures include cooling on demand, load-sensing hydraulics, RPM management, alternate engine idle modes and oil-immersed multi-plate brakes with cooling. Heavy-duty drive axle with reinforced spindles and double reduction provides stability. Powertrain protections and class-leading travel and lift speeds reduce operating time per task.
