Product overviewThe Integrated Joining System (IJSys, Type 2168A) is a compact electromechanical joining module that integrates a servomotor, an integrated servo amplifier and a flange-mounted strain-gauge force sensor in a single housing. The unit provides position- and force-controlled joining functions optimized for low-force servo press applications.
StructureThe IJSys 2168A uses a ball screw drive to convert rotary motion into linear motion and consolidates drive, sensors and safety technology in one robust enclosure. The force sensor is integrated into the flange and digitized inside the unit. Safety functions such as Safe Torque Off (STO) and a holding brake with Safe Brake Control (SBC) are incorporated.
Operation, measurement and evaluationSupply: logic 24 VDC, power section 48 VDC. Real-time EtherCAT transmits force–displacement data plus control and status signals. Optional fieldbus slave interfaces: PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT. Ethernet supports quality-data transfer, VNC visualization and backups. Combined with process monitoring systems (e.g., maXYmos NC) the module enables comprehensive process control and evaluation.
