Product summary
The NC joining module NCFH Type 2151B (available in two sizes) integrates a piezoelectric force sensor with charge amplifier and an absolute displacement encoder. Designed for force–displacement monitored assembly and joining processes, it covers nominal forces from 1 to 60 kN and is suited to applications with limited installation space and high dynamic requirements.

Description
The module housing contains the displacement sensor, integrated absolute encoder, piezoelectric tension/compression force sensor and integrated charge amplifier. Forces acting on the sensor generate a proportional electrical charge in the piezo element, converted to an analog voltage signal by the charge amplifier. The drive is an electrically commutated hollow-shaft AC servo motor controlled by a servo amplifier providing constant speed independent of load. Standard functions such as block pressing, position pressing, force-feedback controlled pressing and intermediate positioning are supported. The NCFH Type 2151B can be operated with IndraDrive servo amplifiers in combination with maXYmos NC Type 5847; communication between IndraDrive and maXYmos NC is real-time via SERCOS III. Multiple onboard fieldbus slave interfaces are available for customer control (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT). Quality data can be transmitted via Ethernet; visualization via VNC and data backup are supported.
