This etched last chance filter features a seamless, one-piece screen element formed with pleats to greatly increase contamination carrying capacity. The result is a robust screen design with an optimum amount of protection in a small package. It is offered with several standard hole size options ranging from 75 to 500 microns. This version incorporates a simple flange mount with a retention spring, a combination which provides for an inexpensive mounting technique suitable for unidirectional flow. The spring OD is slightly larger than the ID of the mounting hole and a special tool is used to twist the spring into the hole. Once the tool is removed, the spring holds the screen in place.
